Being Kind

When was the last time that we practiced kindness? What kind of thoughts or actions of kindness have we achieved? What if there had been none? No kindness! No caring about anyone else except ourselves! How selfish and self-consumed can we be?

Who are we without kindness? We are caught inside an absorbed self, not caring about anyone else except our own needs and pleasures with nowhere to go. Think about what our life would be like if we could not feel kind. Remember we are here not to just think about ourselves but to understand that when we are kind to someone else we free ourselves of being self-absorbed and selfish and it allows us to think about others in this world.

One of the reasons we are in this life is to learn how to be kind to our fellow man which means at times we must put ourselves second to those who need more. We must learn how to give.

How kind have we been? If we can be honest with ourselves then we will see the truth. One thing we have learned ultimately we cannot hide from it. Truth is the religion that we all share. We do know the truth! How kind have we been?
