What causes us to be “isolated” and “lonely?” We say that we want friends and a relationship with someone, but we remain waiting, as if it’s supposed to drop out of the sky and automatically bring us what we need. Sadly, this is not the case. So why are you, at your age, still waiting and looking for that feeling of “wow!” Is this only in your “fantasy,” or do you really believe that if you sit by yourself most of the time you’ll somehow be “blessed” with your dream?
Dreams do not just “happen.” We make them real! And every one of us has the ability to make a dream of ours come true, just as long as it’s one that is based in reality. Now, maybe we are afraid to face reality because it then becomes “work” and we are forced to put ourselves “out there” and run the risk of facing rejection, but so what! If someone doesn’t want us, it’s really only our “ego” that feels rejection, and that’s because we’ve convinced ourselves that we normally don’t put our feelings on the line so quickly. But that’s fine, we can get over that. And it’s “ok,” too, to be tentative, just as long as you understand that no-one is going to come falling out of the sky to you at this point in life. You have to put yourself out there! And if you have just read this and are saying, “Bull! Who would want to be my partner or friend,” then start by talking yourself through your own “bull.” When you see how many excuses you’ve made for yourself you’ll begin to see that it’s your own stubbornness that has caused you
